My husband and I are leaving Chicago and heading to Jerusalem for the summer, with a quick stop in NYC for a wedding. I can’t even begin to convey how excited I am to be going back to eretz hakodesh. To experience the intensity, the smells and tastes, the shechina… to feast my eyes on the beautiful land, to plaster myself against the kotel, to hug those who I have missed so much. I am so looking forward to relearning the language, and to studying and teaching… both Torah and music I have spent the whole year missing my home and now I am going back!
Chicago has been amazing to us this year, and we will be returning at the end of the summer. This is nice because I don’t have to worry about saying any tearful goodbyes.
My posts will likely be sporadic over the next month, as we pack, move, travel, arrive, find a place to live and finally settle in. I know that our travels and return to Jerusalem will bring me so much new inspiration… and I can’t wait share it on this site!
Here are some photos of Chicago that I took over the last few days.

Adios and farewell, Chicago!
